Be as anonymous as possible!

Avoid postings that could enable a stranger to locate you, such as your home address.

ATry to avoid in-person meetings!

NEVER get together with someone you “meet” in a profile or blog unless you are certain of their identity. Although it’s not risk-free, if you do decide to meet an online person, arrange the meeting in a public place and bring a parent, family member or friends along. Be suspicious of any “talent agent/scout” that insists on meeting with you alone. A legitimate agent or scout will have an office and will want to meet with your parents as well.

Avoid posting inappropriate material!

AlmostFamous.com should be used strictly for talent and entertainment purposes. We do not condone violent, pornographic or otherwise inappropriate postings (photo, chats, blogging, etc) and will pursue legal prosecution of offenders when necessary.

Check profile comments regularly!

If you allow comments on your profile page or blog, check them often. Don’t respond to mean or inappropriate comments. Report any cyber-harassing behavior to AlmostFamous.com.

Be honest about your age!

AlmostFamous.com has membership rules there to protect you. If you are too young to sign up, do not lie about your age. Talk with your parents about alternative sites that may be appropriate for you.

Always keep in mind, that whatever is uploaded onto your page can be downloaded by anyone and passed around or posted online forever. Before uploading a photo, think about how you’d feel if it were seen by your family, friends, college admissions counselor or future employer.
